Tips for finding lost sensors?

Silly question of the week—any tips/tricks for finding lost temp and leak sensors? I have two of the former and one of the latter that are reporting in, but I can’t locate where I cleverly put them. And they keep notifying me that their batteries are getting low, which is kinda irritating.

Doe not help you now, but for future use, either use names that are enough of a prompt you where it is, or keep a list.

Your question is not so silly, but made me laugh. I’ve done that a few times and I don’t have a solution for you. Took me hours to find some of mine. The worst were the leak sensors. I know exactly where they “were” located. Cats use them as play toys and bat them around until they are no longer within paw reach which makes them even more difficult to find for the human. :joy:

Oh I got that part right. “Laundry room” … well I guess “Main floor” was not very descriptive. I found “Furnace room” because I stuck it on the front of the breaker box.

“Upstairs bathroom” should have led me right to that toilet, and it did—but no leak detector. It’s still out there somewhere though, still reporting in that all is well.

Cats … hmm …

Look for something else. That is how my lost things tend to reappear.

I always buy a new one. Invariably the day after it arrives I find the lost one. I keep trying to train myself to wait a week. Murphy at work:grin::roll_eyes:

Those are both excellent tips. Thanks.
