Thermostat offline repeatedly

Does the Wi-Fi disconnected symbol show on the thermostat display?

If NO try resetting the WYZE App:

  1. Force Stop
  2. Swiping up from the Recent Apps screen or select “Close All”

If YES you may have to Factory Reset the thermostat as it is not connecting to Wi-Fi.

I have done everything possible other then uninstalling the Wyze app itself. I really don’t want to do that since I have lots of other devices that are working on app, Plus im not sure if I can backup all my custom settings, schedules and automations. That would be too much work just to test if it wouldfix this issues. I still think its the communication on the server side.

These are all stored in the cloud.

My next suggestions are:

  • Do you have access to another phone or tablet?
    • You can install the WYZE app on the other device and log in with your account.
    • You should see your home screen, devices, schedules and automations.
  • If access to your thermostat works on the other device then uninstall and re-install the WYZE app on your phone.
  • Last resort would be to Factory Reset your thermostat, but I would wait to see if any others respond with suggestions.

Hi,

Got to try few things and it looks like it due to the updated WYZE App v3.19.0 on my android 16.

My other device had a really old Wyze app and the thermostat works like normal.

So I uninstalled, clear everything and even reboot my phone before reinstall. Still hanging withe word loading when I try to launch the thermostat Icon. So that didnt fix my issue.

Only thing thats positive is that all my device, automation and settings is still available and no need to reinstall individual devices.

Do anyone know how I can revert back to previous Wyze app version?

Tia, Y

I finally found the fix, 2 simple steps - here it is:

1: Remove Wyze smart thermostat

2: Replace with Honeywell smart thermostat

Seriously, that is the only fix for this. I have a lot of Wyze devices and mostly like them. But was very disappointed with the Thermostat product after trying everything with two of them. Honeywell in the same location works perfectly and never loses connectivity.

I’ve never used it but others have.

Ok just as I suspected that the recent updated app was the issue. I was able to install the previous version and it works like before. Im not sure why the current version 3.19.0 gave me this issue when trying to launch the thermostat icon.

Wyze 3.18.0.918 on APKMirror

I hope Wyze share whats causing this issue by replying to this post or my troubleshooting ticket.

If anyone else is having similar problems, please post here since im curious.

I think that’s unlikely, and you may want to post about this issue with as much detail as possible in the relevant Wyze News app announcement topic:

Since only Wyze employees can create topics in the Wyze News and Beta categories, replying in those—when appropriate—is likely a better way to get visibility to Wyze.

Thanks everyone for your help and I got it to work again by reverting back to prior Wyze app version 3.18.0.918.

Wyze Thermostat Not Loading After App 3.19.0 Update — Fixed on Android 16

I had an issue where my Wyze Thermostat stopped loading in the Wyze Android app after updating to version 3.19.0.

I’m using Android 16. The physical thermostat continued working normally and all my other Wyze devices were working in the app.

I tried with no luck:

Clearing the Wyze app cache

Rebooting my phone

Rebooting the thermostat

Rebooting my router

Using cellular data instead of Wi-Fi

Unistall and reinstall app with latest version.

Tested:

Used another Android device will older version Wyze app and thermostat loaded ok. This verified that the issue was related to recent release version of app with android 16.

What fixed it:

I rolled the Wyze Android app back to version 3.18.0.918.

Wyze’s official release notes show 3.18.0.918 was released July 23, 2026.

I downloaded the unmodified Wyze 3.18.0.918 APK bundle from APKMirror. The package was:

com.hualai

Wyze Labs Inc.

Version 3.18.0.918

Because it was an .apkm bundle, I used APKMirror Installer to install it.

After installing 3.18.0.918 and signing back into the same Wyze account, the Thermostat loaded normally again.

Important

I did not:

Factory-reset the thermostat

Remove/re-add the thermostat

Delete any cameras or other Wyze devices

Delete my Wyze account

Good news:

My automations, schedules, cameras, plugs, and other devices remained associated with my account.

So, on my Android 16 phone, rolling back from Wyze 3.19.0 to 3.18.0.918 fixed the thermostat loading problem.

Hopefully this helps anyone else experiencing the same issue after the 3.19.0 update.

WYZE: It would be beneficial to make the previous version readily accessible for individuals experiencing difficulties. I encountered considerable trouble researching and locating an official prior version. I was reluctant to install the Wyze app from an unofficial source, but I had no alternative as I required remote control of my thermostat via the Wyze app.

Please share if your having issue with the thermostat after this update.

Hi all, the rolled back version of the app that temporary worked has stopped. I updated to the latest 3.23 hoping to work for my Android 16 still shows offline to my original issues. Anyone else having this or found a fix yet? So frustrating, I need to find older app version that is bit newer than the one I try in hops of another temporary fix.p

Seems that WYZE are aware of the 3.23 issue and are working on a fix.

Wyze app 3.23 - Released 9/30/2026 - Wyze News - Wyze Forum

Fyi, im on Android 16 and the newest update 3.23.1.994 fix mine. It be nice to hear what Wyze did to accomplish this and hopefully no more issues moving forward.

994 on android 16 fixed mine.

Today’s Hotfix resolved this on my Pixel phone.

994 appeared to fix my mine as it started responding. It lasted about 1-2 hours. Then it’s back to “offline”.

What I didn’t expect is my other 2 tablets that had not been updated to 994, and we’re operating properly, are now showing “offline”.

Are you all still showing proper operation on 994?

Answering myself. It worked for a couple of hours then went offline. A power reset cured it. Been stable for a few hours now.
