Are you cutting off the night vision? When I tried to set up like this it was fine during the day but (as said in the doc’s) the infrared reflected back into my camera and it sat there clicking.

Good question. Night vision doesn’t work through glass, unfortunately. Most of us just turn off the night vision when pointing through the window, especially if we already have porch lights outside.
