The Pixel algorithm is not meant for outdoors

@Customer

Nope, the AI still isn’t able to correctly identify a person when about 85-90% of the frame is blocked out with a detection zone

That’s what happening in my case, I have a v3 that covers my front porch and yard and a bit of the highway near me is on the corner and the headlights always trigger my v3 and so is my street i live on . So I have to practically block out the whole frame to reduce all the unwanted triggers

After setting up a detection zone and walking in frame the AI has trouble identifying if it’s a person . It’ll label a person as motion

You’re thinking of Nest or gen2 Ring Pro maybe.

Old wyze method was a single rectangle with some minimum dimensions too.

current wyze method is a grid of blocks. I assume they just have one bit binary integer where each bit equals a block being on or off.

PRO-TIP: if you want to line up a motion zone with something diagnoal in your view, ROTATE YOUR CAMERA so it’s no longer diagonal!
