To enable identification of individuals and license plates from 30 feet (typical distance, house to end of drive).
That would be a great option. Or just up the sensor enough where we can zoom in digitally without losing image quality.
Multiple people have reported great success doing this by hand with off the shelf lens replacements. I’m sure it would turn up on a forum search.
