Since @peepeep posted the guide above and I mentioned receiving notifications from [Wyze’s Discord server](https://discord.gg/wyze) in [a topic about the most recent outage](https://forums.wyze.com/t/service-advisory-4-15-2024/296327/16) ([which the frog mentioned elsewhere](https://forums.wyze.com/t/cameras-offline-today-04-15-24-21-53/296346/17)), I figured I’d post a few screenshots in case anyone else wants to see how I set Discord for this. Note that these screenshots are from using Discord in a browser, but I receive the notifications from the Discord app running on my phone.

First of all are the notification settings for the Wyze server itself (right-click the Wyze server icon in the left column to activate this menu). I don’t recall changing these, so they may be the user defaults, but I have it set to notify me only of @‍mentions (so either mentions by name or by whatever “@‍groups/roles/whatever” I’m in, at least as I understand it). I also want mobile push notifications enabled:

![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/wyze/original/3X/5/9/5968256f1704d273d9f2ac2194883223b0a9e34e.png)

Next, I right-click the **service-advisory** channel and select **All Messages** under **Notification Settings** :

![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/wyze/original/3X/8/2/822292d45a29b21d19802d3e2d9363b8deeef065.png)

Incidentally, I did the same thing for the **software-updates** channel to receive Discord push notifications whenever releases of app or firmware updates are announced:

![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/wyze/original/3X/9/0/90d2ce221cce2002defe67643752433090c1adfa.png)

There are probably different/better ways to do this (@carverofchoice [wrote that some users mute the entire server _ **except** _ the **service-advisory** channel](https://forums.wyze.com/t/service-advisory-4-15-2024/296327/41)), but this is how I’ve chosen to do it as a non-power-user of Discord.

This is excellent! The screenshots are very helpful.

This is basically what I do with all the other discord servers I have joined to ensure I only get notifications about their important posts like updates or current issues. 👍

Thanks for taking the time to write that out for anyone interested in doing it for the future. Hopefully such things are rarely needed.

That’d be my hope, as well, but I’m glad this post exists to point to some potentially useful tools, just in case. I just wanted to add this one to the toolbox. Hopefully others’ll find it helpful.

@peepeep, if you want to add shortcut links to accompany the instructive images in your original post, you can use these, which should work for any user:

I’m just tossin’ those out there since you recently updated [another Tips & Tricks topic](https://forums.wyze.com/t/email-customer-support-direct-path-2024/266573).

I don’t know if anyone else would find this useful or not, but since I frequently use [https://go.wyze.com/releasenotes](https://go.wyze.com/releasenotes) to look up information about app and firmware versions, I wondered what other “go” addresses might be out there and found [https://go.wyze.com/servicestatus](https://go.wyze.com/servicestatus). It’s pointing to the same Help Center article you linked, it’s just a shorter initial URL that triggers a couple of redirects before arriving at the destination.
