Finally was able to get two of my camera working after a long time. ! camera I had a issue with my cam plus lite. Support was useless in resolving the matter. And asking the group here was also worthless which followed by fan boy comments that just set out to attack me. I am finally able to play from the events section like I should be able to. It’s a bug in Wyze’s system since they introduced the web version. Even though I tried multiple times to get the camera to function right I could not. But I worked on some of my cams last night and tonight since one of them the image became burry from the code weather and improper sealing. Unlike before when we were able to add and remove cameras through the app, We can no longer remove them from the cam plus lite with the app which is ridiculous. Today it finally works.
The v2 cam that I could no longer get to connect, I got connected. I was unable to download the updated firmware before and when asked for it to manually reflash it was provided wrong files from Wyze. I knew this could b fixed by getting a good copy of the flash file. I was able to find the RSTP file and get it to connect. Bingo, Then I was finally able to get my hands on the manual version of the current flash file and reflash it. Camera is back online. Instead of helping they wanted me to buy a new camera when it was a problem with their software not the camera like I suspected the whole time. Wyze really needs to start listening to their customers and tring to put profits over loyalty. Since I started using the cams I purchased about 10 cams. These cameras seemed great at first, then they went to this whole subscription system and tried making us buy features that were included with the cameras. These cameras have became so unstable with the firmware updates. And you never know when or how they will effect detections. It’s a constant battle trying to keep up with fine tuning them. Missing events, or events showing in one area and not a other area and vise versa. Each camera seems to have different layouts which is so cumbersome. One reason I bought into their system was for the RSTP features which was so problematic and unstable it made it unusable. The last three cameras I purchased for security were not Wyze becouse of the issues and poor support. I couldnt be happyier with the other brand. I get better image quality, Better stability, and features for free included that Wyze forces a monthly fee for. I also noticed on the router logs their is constant talking going on with the Wyze cameras, but the new system is dead silent. I only purchased 1 more camera from Wyze and probably the last, The OG camera which has no cam plus lite support. So sad. I mainly purchased it for timelaps anyways. You lost a loyal customer that heavily recommended your cameras to others. Stop nickel and diming us the customers and provide proper support instead of telling customers to purchase a new camera when a new camera is not needed. Now I have to tear apart a camera because the camera was unstable and apparently became cold enough for moisture to form inside causing a permanent blur. The outside of the lens is nice and clear but getting cold apparently caused it to gave a issue. This is unrealistic for a outdoor camera. Even my v2 cameras havn’t done this. Cameras that are not even rated for outdoor use. I guess I should have stuck with v2 cams and getting cases for them. Get your act together, your no longer the top dog of affordable security cameras and are offering unstable toys. Until these issues get resolved in the current lineup of cameras, I have no intention to keep purchasing news one where I start loosing features and usabuility.
