Hi. I have two Wyze Cam V3’s. I’ll call them cam1 and cam2. Cam1 has firmware 4.36.10.3406 and a paid cam plus subscription. Cam2 is brand new and has firmware 4.36.9.139 and still on the cam plus free trial for another 10 days. Reading through, I think I understand why I have two different firmwares. But I notice that I have two different notification screens on the Android app. Cam1 has extra options for sound types. Cam2 does not. My question is why? Is it the firmware difference or does the free cam plus not include the sound options? Thanks!

I would say firmware difference. I have three V3 cams that have the same firmware as your cam #2 does and the display for sounds is the same as the one you posted. I also have a V3 Pro and it shows the different sound menu a per your cam #1 screenshot although mine says “Audio Detections” (Beta).

If your app is up to date then the camera firmware is restricting you from getting the new notification screen. Make sure both your cams are up to date, and you should see the same notification’s screen.

Thanks guys! It was the firmware. I forced cam2’s firmware upgrade from sd card and the options now match!
