Solar Pan Cam Frustration

Just purchased Solar Pan Cam.

It connects to the WiFi, I can see LIVE view along with Pan and tilting the camera, setup waypoints.

I am not able to save any settings in the Wyze app. I noticed this first by trying to rotate the image 180 degrees. I can click the GEAR and go into the settings area… and change things, but it does not save the settings and there is no changes to the camera. When I go back into the settings area, anything I changed has gone back to the previous setting.

I tried to turn off the Wyze logo and the setting changes have no affect on the camera.

I noticed someone else in the forums having the exact same issues that was posted 10 days ago.

I opened a support ticket and I have done all the normal stuff they suggested like factory reset it. Re-add it back with a different phone.

Wyze cam pan solar problems

Going on 5 days now. Purchased a wyze cam pan solar and it will not save any settings.

I contacted support and they said are going to push out a firmware update to it to fix it. The camera shows its on the latest firmware.

Very frustrating to purchase a new camera and cant get it to work.

To follow up on this message…

Wyze support did push out a firmware update to my Pan Cam Solar.

It did fix the issue of not being able to save any settings on the camera. I can now see the MAC address, IP address, and WiFi network listed in Device Info. Previously before the firmware update, it would connect to wifi, I could see LIVE view but couldn’t save any settings.

If anyone runsinto this issue, you probably need a firmware update.

Thank you for the report! That must be some new unannounced beta patch. Great to hear it fixed your issues. :+1:

Thanks for sharing this. I saw your comments here and in Solar cam pan flipped view, but I’ve been unable to replicate the issue that you and @msells reported, so I was waiting to see if anyone else reported the same thing. Hopefully whatever the remedy is for you both will be released in a future production firmware.
