Share view but hide history?

We have a special needs son. We (and staff )use cameras to watch him in his bedroom.

Is there a way to let staff view the live feed but not have access to the recorded history?

Even though I have Wyze cameras for my security hobby, I use a Hello Baby monitor when my wife and I babysit our 18 month old granddaughter.

Maybe get a Hello Baby monitor for the staff and continue to use your Wyze setup for yourself.

There isn’t, but if the cam doesn’t have a subscription, all they can see are still frames for the historical events, no cloud or SD card videos. If it has a subscription, they can see the cloud videos (but not the SD card).

Since you tagged your post for Cam v3, I wonder if RTSP would be an option, as that’s in public testing for that Cam model. Depending on how you expect staff to view the feed, that might be one way to provide a live view only and without exposing other camera features.

This external page (set up by Wyze) has more information about RTSP use:

These are official announcement topics where it’s being discussed:

It’s been in beta testing for a while, so it’s important to be aware that it’s not yet a “production” release feature and may still be buggy, so I’m not suggesting that you try this if you value stability, but a lot of users have reported success with it in various third-party use cases, so I wanted you to be aware that it’s an option that’s expected to be in the mainstream production releases (app and firmware) at some point.
