Sense Hub issues device won't connect

SENSE HUB:

Went offline about 3 months ago. I use it with leak sensors and 2 motion sensors.

I’ve tried resetting it and to “add a device”. It always ends in failure to connect / communicate (I forget the exact wording at this moment. I tired last night to update the software with it working for 10 minutes to end in an error and unable to update.

I’m writing here after spending an hour with a tech support person only for her to move it to emails. Well, over the last 4-6 weeks of emails, here we are in the same spot.

Note: Ive been using my iPad to try to connect the devices since it only work son 2..4 gHz. I tried to turn off the 5 g on my router and it didn’t seem to matter.

Anyone got anything for me? I’ve had Wyze from the beginning and hate to ditch it since I have so many products on the home network. However, I want my lights to come on when I walk into a room via my sensors.

TIA!

Welcome back @km17268

Sorry to hear of the issues you are having.
Out of curiosity, do you have the Wyze Home Monitoring Service or just the hub?

I don’t want to ask a bunch of questions that you may have encountered already with Wyze support, could you provide a little high level of what you did for troubleshooting?

When you say “reset” was that a factory reset or a reboot?

Thank you for answering. I do NOT have the home monitoring. I believe factory. I held the button for a long time and had to start from scratch. I did that actually 3 times at least.

Yea, 25 seconds is a factory reset. Thank You

Did you by chance replace the batteries in the sensor devices? Unfortunately I do not trust the battery status in the Wyze app.

I know from experience that a low battery on both the motion sensors and leak sensors will cause the device to not “add” even if you see the red light blinking when attempting to connect.

I’ve had success. I did I guess a factory reset again I held the button in for a really long time. Put new batteries in my each two sensors. They’re just AAA batteries. And I plugged the hub into my router directly as well went through the whole process again and things paired. Took me a while to figure out how to reset up my automation, but got that done so hopefully everything‘s working well. Thank you very much for your helping suggestions now I can cancel the new ones. I ordered on Amazon. Have a great day.

Glad to hear you got everything working!

I have the same problem. I can’t connect sensors. Connectio stops after about40 45%
