I was trying to schedule a light to turn on 7pm and turn off after midnight at 12:15am. However, the app wouldn’t accept it; saying that the end time could not be set earlier than the start time.
My solution was to set the light to turn off starting at 12:15am and end time it at 7pm.
What version of the app are you using?
v2.5.30
They are having issues with that version of the app, the time issue you are explaining is one and some people are experiencing lag and connection issues. Options are to wait until they get it worked out or roll back to a previous version. If you found a temporary work around and aren’t experiencing the lag issue, you might want to just wait until it is fixed. However if you would like to roll back here is a link to another version.
