Description:
I recently switched from a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, and I’m experiencing a strange issue with two-way audio in the Wyze app.
Problem:
-
I can hear audio from the Wyze cameras perfectly fine.
-
However, when using the Talk feature, people near the camera can barely hear me.
-
The microphone technically works, but the volume is extremely low/quiet.
Important troubleshooting details:
-
Microphone permissions are enabled.
-
Reinstalled the Wyze app and logged in again.
-
Restarted the phone multiple times.
-
Cleared app cache/data.
-
Reset phone settings/accessibility settings.
-
Tested on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
-
Selfie videos and normal recordings on the Flip7 sound completely normal.
-
Other apps using the microphone seem fine.
-
Wired headset/earbuds work perfectly in Wyze two-way audio.
-
The issue only happens when using the Flip7’s built-in microphone with Wyze.
Additional context:
-
I previously used Wyze with a Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Fold series devices, and another Samsung foldable without this issue.
-
This makes me think it may be related specifically to the Flip7 internal microphone/audio processing path with the Wyze app.
Has anyone else with a Galaxy Z Flip7 experienced very low microphone volume during Wyze two-way talk?
Any recommendations or workaround to resolve this issue? Please Advise.
