After APP update if I manually record within the app it only records in 640x360 on (4) different Wyze Cam v3 Pro on 2 different networks though it is set to record in 2.5K.
When motion is detected it records 2.5K to the card.
Shortly after APP update 6/20/25 I subscribed to the Cam Unlimited Monthly.
I have had all 4 cameras since 6/17/23 working fine until now.

Thanks for this information, I did install the last version of the app, but I resubscribed to the cam plus service and randomly all cameras are still filming in 360 or 2K.
Any chance their monitoring service is causing this?
If I can’t get this resolved these four cameras are going to be on eBay cheap.
I only have regular v3 cameras and am still using App version 2.50. Have you tried contacting Wyze Support?
Customer service were very nice but not much help. 2 of the 4 cameras are on a fast network (3 bars) and still randomly records in 360. I fought this long enough I’m going to eBay the cameras and find something more reliable.
Cameras are supposed to record to the SD card at their native resolutions. You might need to extract the video from the SD card.
I tried “recording” to my phone, and it recorded at 640 × 360; this from a 2.5K camera.

I tried downloading, from WebView, a recorded event from the same camera; it recorded at 2304 Ă— 1296.
Been using Wyze for several years now. Always loved it. But your new upgrade is in my opinion Terrible. When I pull up a camera now it shows all the events which makes my view of my cam twice as small. Then when I zoom in its blury. Then if you want to view a playback its very difficult. Every time you move forward or backward the cam view goes back to small. Gigantic failure on this upgrade. Cancel it and go back to what you had as it was perfect. I can no longer recommend this App to my friends as its simply not user friendly and the quality went down hill with your new changes.

Yes the fact that the playback won’t stay zoomed in when I scroll through playback nerfs one of the best functions of these cameras. Often I’m using small changes to pinpoint exactly when an event occurred and this makes it almost impossible. PLEASE bring back this functionality!
