Do you have a Vacuum and experiencing this issue? I personally have not, but have dark wood floors. However, I am asking because the only comment I see from you telling individuals to report this. Not sure if I missed something here.
Add me to the list of folks who are experiencing this. White oak hardwood floors sealed with EasyStreet Floor Finish (water-based) back in late May. Started noticing marks on the floor in late June. I did not notice marks on the old polyurethane finish that was on the floor previously. MAC address is 7C78B20A75E1. I have not tried removing any of the marks yet pending a rock solid solution to the problem.
You have all kinds of spots. That vacuum did a number on your floor. Happy I have a 5 year old Roomba 870, he behaves most of the time.
Same issue, MAC address 7C78B20A220A
Wyze Robot Vacuum has permanently stained my hardwood floors. It seems the petroleum is seeping from the rubber in the tires.
MAC 7C78B20A6B65
I don’t have that vacuum and don’t know how it was built. Maybe the wheels have bad lubricated bearings that leak then the wheels run over it and spread it on the floor .I would take it outside in my driveway, run it up and down. If it leaked I would add 8 ounces of gasoline and one match .
Get a Lawyer and file a complaint with CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION.
I knew it, a slip and fall lawyer “You better call Saul” you’ll get better service than from this troll lawyer.
I think it would be advantageous to allow Wyze the opportunity to address the situation
I’m sure they are not happy with these reports either but it’s a little early to start a suit process unless you’ve exhausted every other means
SAME exact marks as mine BUT they came right up with a nylon scrub pad. MAC address 7C78B20A150D
No problem…what’s your relationship with Wyze? How about being served a subpoena? Do you believe Wyze will publicly release any information on the residue from the rubber tires? No we have physical damage on wood floors, carpets…what does one say to the landlord? Your deposit will be used to replace the damaged items.
My relationship with WYZE is customer. Since you do not have the vacuum and have not had the issue happen to you personally [mod edit], you have no skin in the game. WYZE has said they are trying to figure out the cause and they have also reached out to some of the members in an effort to help them with repairs to the damage caused. I get it, you do not like anything about WYZE since all you write is post bashing all the products. You trying to drum up some legal business [mod edit]?
Just wait until I post a Throw down thread on Wyze Cam Outdoor vs Ring Spotlight with Solar. 30day shoot out.
No interested in Ring or solar anything. My 4 WCO work just fine on scheduled event recording .
This would be a technology challenge. Ring V5 vs Wyze V1. A alternative to low cost. Information is Powerful Mr. Wyze.

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried using rubbing alcohol with a cleaning cloth to remove the stain?
Could you please tell me where I can buy the exact same wood floor (product SKU?) you currently have? Thank you!

Were the marks on your hardwood floor? near the charging station as well?
Did you use anything else than a nylon scrub pad?
