I like the long press idea.

I like that, too, and I shared in a related topic that I like the way myQ does it.

Perhaps a solution would be a UI settings option to allow people to select whether they want the button active or hidden/deactivated

If that would be an option, then I think it also makes sense for a camera owner to be able to disable on/off for shared access users, like what’s mentioned here:

I’ve had shared users accidentally turn off all the cameras in a group (8 cams)…how can they be allowed control to disable cameras??

I think that point also speaks to yet another #wishlist topic.
