Recording on SD Card

How do you program the cameras to record on the SD Card “only” when there is movement?
thanks.

Manlio

Settings > Advanced Settings > Record to MicroSD > ON and below that to Events Only.

Just to clarify:

on the SD Card “only”?
or
“only” when there is movement?

hello… only on the SD card, thanks

Thank you for clarifying that. I’m no expert, but it seems like you should go to Settings and then Event Recording. Make sure everything is set to OFF. Then go to Settings and then Advanced Settings. If you want continuous recordings to your SD card, make sure Continuous is set (white, not grey). If you want to only record events on your SD card, make sure Events Only is set (white, not grey).

You need to understand that if you use the Events tab at the bottom of the home screen, you will no longer have any Events to see because events are not stored on your SD card. They are stored on the cloud (or somewhere). But with the above settings you can still go to your SD card and see your recordings.

As I said, I’m not an expert but there are some really great and helpful experts on this forum. If my suggestion is not right, hopefully one of them will chime in.

As stated above…those are the settings.

@Newshound :

@PCHearn is correct. You can have just SD card recordings without any cloud events.

Thank you, WildBill. This was my first time actually trying to give real settings advice on this forum. I’m glad I got it right. :slightly_smiling_face:

Here are some screenshots from one of my cameras:

Love your home. But at first glance it looked like there is a giant replica of a mobile device with a fingerprint button in the top left of the screen above the grand piano. My automatic pattern recognition is apparently skewed toward mobile devices. If a giant mobile device ever jumps out of the darkness to attack me, I’m golden.

Had a Thing 1 and Thing 2 (yes, Dr.Seuss). Thing 1 got renamed, thing 2 is for testing.

By any chance was it renamed to

With apologies to the OP for diverting the thread for a bit of frivolity.
