Not that funny.
I just checked; the SD cards are still working on my pan V3s. The SD bug is hitting different camera models randomly. I guess Wyze is still working on that bug and deploying back-end fixes. And in the process, other cameras then get the bug. You’re lucky.
I hope that’s the case. That seemed to be the resolution for (non-Pan) Cam v3s last year, and since about mid-December I’ve seen the same thing on one of my Cam Pan v3s but not the other (bought and activated at different times).
Pregnant with possibilities…
2x V3 pan-cams For Sale
No reasonable offer rejected
There was a time when all my pan V3s had that bug.
Look what is being posted in this thread even about the Wyze SD card issue
Wouldn’t want you to be misinformed or uninformed
Two Canadian Dollars
You gonna send 'im a toonie?
I don’t have another choice, we scrapped the dollar bills long time ago. Don’t forget he’ll have to pay tariffs
With the tariffs it would probably cost me
That’s Trump’s tariff 101. It’ll cost habib.
As of today, I can now, from my own experience, express a mea culpa on this as it has happened to me.
- Sd card not available
- Cam not connected
- Pull card and load on pc
- Card is full so reformat (sandisk high endurance 256gb)
- Card back in pan v3
- Same issue - restart cam - no fix
- Replace with new sdcard
- Same issues - no fix
- Activate new pan v3
- Insert reformatted sdcard in new pan v3.
- Card accepted as if new
- Dismount problem pan v3 and mount new one
- Troubleshooting problem pan v3
And so today I join the “INFORMED” users who have first-hand experience with this issue.
It gets even more bizarre…
One pan cam V3 I formatted and same as you still wouldn’t see SD
So I reseated SD and power cycled, still could not see SD
Deleted and re-setup camera and the SD was there now
Checking the SD the failure happened on 4-30-2025 as no continuous recording after that …
Second V3 pan cam I did nothing to and it started working again and SD was accessible. Checking SD showed same thing it quit after 4-30-2025
Funny it stopped for a week then came back on May 8th
So Like I Said Wyze Cams Are Not Reliable and should be considered a Toy Camera, Not a Security Camera due to random Unreliability.
Haven’t had Any Issues with my Reolink’s
You just can’t resist, can’t you
You know it
Gawd, I HOPE Wyze isn’t in decline. I have a V1, 2 V1 Cam Pans, a Wyze Cam Outdoor, and I just bought a V4. I would still all of the older models that I have.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend these cameras as they have too many issues that come and go - specifically around notifications randomly working. I rely on these for many purposes and they work 1 day and stop the next, etc.
Not a reliable product.
