The bulb cam I have on my front porch seems to be detecting a flag as a person. I tried disabling person detection by unchecking it in the list, but it still keeps doing it. Is there some other way to disable person detection? I don’t know why what I already did didn’t work. Thank you.

I suspect that motion from the flag (or something else in the Cam’s FOV) is initiating a motion detection event and that the identification model is then incorrectly marking the event as having a person present because that happens to be within the captured event footage. This is why I have set a Detection Zone to mask out the flag visible from my front porch in order to reduce its triggering of motion events.
What detail can you share about your settings? Screenshots can be helpful.
Also, if you haven’t yet set a Detection Zone but want to try that (without knowing more about your situation and the Cam’s FOV), then I’d recommend enabling Motion Tagging, at least until you’ve figured out which squares in your Detection Zone you want to block out.
Your second screenshot shows selections for setting the Events filter when you want to review events that have already been recorded but want to narrow the scope of your events list on the Events tab. That is not where you select what you want the Cam to record and tag, and the system will tend to tag things in the recordings because it [“thinks” it] sees them in the video when it performs its analysis. You determine what you want recorded (and associated notifications) by tapping your Cam’s tile on the Favorites screen to open its live view screen, then tap Settings ➜ Event Recording ➜ Smart Detection Events ➜ Customize Recordings. Make your desired recording and notification selections there.
From Bulb Cam’s live view, tap Settings ➜ Detection Settings ➜ Detection Zone.
That’s because you have Settings ➜ Detection Settings ➜ Motion Tagging enabled. Leaving that enabled can help you determine what adjustments to make to your Detection Zone if you choose to enable and select a zone.

You’re welcome! I hope it works out the way you expect. I think setting a Detection Zone should help. It’s helped in my experience screening out flags with other Wyze cameras and also reducing Vehicle detections for a Bulb Cam that sees a truck consistently parked in the driveway. I also think that having the green boxes enabled can help you figure out how to set your Detection Zone, and you can get rid of the green boxes later if you want by disabling Motion Tagging.
If you’re still having problems getting things set the way you want for the results you expect, then feel free to share screenshots of your Detection Zone along with a snapshot that shows a green Motion Tagging box present in an event where you didn’t expect detection. That can help with troubleshooting a Detection Zone.
