My new Pan V3 is picking up cars from the road even though it is outside the marked detection zone.

#### Welcome to the Wyze User Community Forum @timm.wieneke! 🙋‍♂️

This issue, along with a host of others, has been noted and reported to Wyze. There is currently a Beta Firmware build being Beta tested. Hopefully it will address this issue.

I noted previously that when the motion tracking is on, the detection zone is much less effective… Especially at the edges of separation between included & excluded. It is less noticable with the tracking off, however the excluded DZ seems to need an extra block of “padding” excluded to be effective.

Here are some threads that have been discussing the issues with the PanV3:

> I just got my Wyze Cam Pan v3. Excited I replaced my Cam v3 looking outside from second floor on to my driveway with Cam Pan v3. However my excitement didn’t last very long when I encountered these two issues which are really disappointing to say the least. Even though I have defined motion detection zone, which includes most of my driveway except the top one line of squrares (on motion detetion zone screen) to avoid the street and cars passing through it, but that does not prevent Pan v3 t…

> Interesting observation using my new Cam Pan V3. It manages to detect cars going by just fine. It detects people OK too - even people walking dogs. But when several deer go by in the same location, they’re essentially invisible to the motion detection algorithm. I’m beginning to think that this may not make a very good wildlife cam. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
