Pan v3 In Room With AP Unstable Video Feed

support said reboot everything. Factory reset everything. Done that multiple times. Sent dozens of “logs”. They now say probably bad units. All of them I guess. As it’s happening to not just my pan v3s. But also my flood lights. How screwed am i ?

The feed will do one of a few things. 1. Stuck on Loading. 2. Will show a single frame of live then stay on that framas if everything is fine. 3. Go through the steps 1 2 3 only to tell me it’s “offline”.

Again. My access point is literally in the same room as some of my cameras.

What additional information can you share about your network? For instance, one of the first things I’d wonder about is whether you’re using mixed-mode WPA2/WPA3 security, because some of those implementations are flaky and the Wyze (and some other) devices don’t handle that well. I don’t know if Support would’ve suggested using WPA2 only, but that’s something I’d consider trying if you haven’t already.

My panv3s both have the issue where they’ll show a still frame for 10-15 seconds but then they’ll start live streaming fine. That seems to be a known issue and I’m hoping they get it fixed soon. my Camv4 also does this, but my OGs don’t.

If the cam is connected to wifi fine (your router or AP sees it as connected and active) I’d start to suspect that perhaps your router or internet is interfering with the authentication (which goes via wyze servers and some advanced security features that many routers have now can interfere).

The flood lights could just be a distance issue and the fact that it is harder for wifi to get outside. I think you may be seeing a combination of a couple things, but hard to say, probably need to focus first on getting your inside cam working fine then see if the outside ones still have an issue.
