Hi all. For some reason this camrra randomly decides when to record overnight even though it has a rule in place. Is this a common problem with Wyze?
It will work really well But then, like the past 2 nights, there isn’t anything recored in the events.
I have opened a ticket twice in the past and of course had to do an internet test, unplug /replug, push the button and reset. It is up high and so I despise having to do it.
My other cam with another company works perfectly however the picture isn’t as good.
Like @K6CCC, I’m curious about why you’re trying to record only at night and also how you’re trying to record (cloud or microSD, events only or continuous). If you could provide some details about your camera settings and Automation (Rule), then that might help us to provide you with better answers.
As a new user, you’re going to be limited to one image per post, but including a screenshot of the Automation you’re using (along with providing information about your recording settings) might be a good start.
I’ve found rules can be problematic if the wifi signal (or internet quality) is poor. As best I can tell, there doesn’t seem to be any logic built in where their servers check if the rule has run successfully, and if not, send the command again. Best I can tell, rules are stored in the cloud and sent via the internet to the camera at the run time. Even if there is something like a motion trigger, it seems to send that to their servers and wait for instructions back.
