Outdoor plug not working properly

I have an outdoor plug that no longer works properly. It has power but I can no longer access it thru the app. The blue light isn’t on and the buttons in the plug don’t do anything.
I’ve unplugged it a few times and I’ve tried to factory reset it (I’ve tried to push each button for 5 and 10s. I’ve also pressed both buttons together.

We recently had a power outage.

Can’t find anything online.

Thanks

What did Support say when you contacted them, and what other troubleshooting have you attempted?

If you connect your Plug Outdoor to power and plug something into one of the outlets (say, an outlet tester) and then pressing the button for that outlet doesn’t toggle the tester (or whatever) on and off, then I’d guess the plug is probably hosed.

I think trying a factory reset was probably reasonable even when the Plug Outdoor’s LEDs don’t work, because I’ve had to set up regular Wyze Plugs with nonfunctional LEDs, and it’s possible to get my phone to see the SSID that a Plug broadcasts after a factory reset and get the Plug added back to the app. I don’t know if you had your phone looking for the Plug Outdoor’s SSID after attempting the factory reset, but I think I’d try testing it with an outlet tester, voltage tester, or multimeter (or maybe a lamp or something if you don’t have those tools available) to see if it’s even passing electricity. I haven’t ever tried opening one of these up, but I wonder if something happened during your power blip that let out some magic smoke.

I don’t know how old your Plug Outdoor is, but if it’s less than a year old, then Wyze might offer to replace it if you contact Support. The last time I picked a couple of these up, I just happened to find them on clearance while I was at a Home Depot, so maybe you’ll get lucky and hit a sale if you have to replace it yourself.
