I just changed my Wifi to Fidium fiber optic 5ghz from Comcast. I had to go out and buy an additional 2.4ghz router to connect to the Fidium router so I could sync my camera’s. Fidium changed the setting to my new router. My 4 wired camera’s had not problem syncing with the 2.4 router but could not get the Outdoor Cam to syc. I even purchased an updated outdoor camera v2. After 5 calls to Wyze and various different tries, I am ready to give up on the Outdoor Camera’s. Waiting for Wyze to email me but not expecting much. Hate to return camera as I like the product. Would appreciate any thoughts.
You stated nothing about trying to reconnect the base to your new router and then synching the cams to the base, which is the way it should be done. The other fault is the ssid and password in the new 2.4 router. You should have used the old existing ssid and pw and your devices would have transitioned without issues. If you follow the forum, you would have known not to delete the outdoor cams, especially if they have been turned off. You will not be able to get them back
Good luck with your recovery.
Return the products.
I too like the WCO v1 and v2’s, but be sure and search the forums about the “No Cooldown” issue that is rendering these camera’s somewhat useless. Wyze has known about this issue for over a year, and still have not fixed the issue.
Who in their infinite wisdom would build something that once deleted you could not reinstall. Never heard of such a product but then again this is Wyze and everything is possible. My problem started after their last V1 firmware update and that is the day the WOC died. I tried everything mentioned in the forums my last resort and I feel a completely logical one was to remove and items that had to do with this unit and start from scratch and now I have another POS thanks to Wyze and their inability to test before release.
