# Outdoor Cam Excessive Battery Use

I have an Outdoor cam that has been working fine. Then the latest firmware update was installed.  
Since then, the battery only lasts less than 24 hours from a full charge. Suspect that the firmware (version 4.17.3.93) caused the problem.

Please advise. Thanks…Rick…

I purchased solar panels for my outdoor cams and they have been at 100% charge ever since.

Have an old WOC on ver 4.17.3.93 and is at 88% Last full charge 36 days ago. Not many events, though. You might check signal level, detection settings and event recording.
