Please forgive me if this question has been covered but for some reason I remember when I installed my doorbell camera V1 back in 2021 it would automatically go right to my camera when the button was pushed. Now it wont. Am I wrong and it never did that?
Welcome @dixonfamily1
I had the V1 Doorbell Camera and don’t recall it going directly to the live stream when the doorbell button was pressed.
However, in the app, there is a method to utilize something like VoIP. To Activate this, you will need to go to the App and Select Account in the bottom right. Then go to Notifications, Push Notification, Voice Over IP and ensure the first two toggle are on. this will allow phone calls to your phone when someone presses the doorbell. Then when you answer the call, it will live stream the doorbell camera and allow you to communicate through it.
On Android, you will be prompted to allow Wyze as a calling account. Make sure you turn that on when prompted.
There may have been another method on the V1 Doorbell, maybe @R.Good or @carverofchoice can shed some light
Yeah, if you use the notification instead of the VoIP option I believe clicking on that used to also open up the live screen just like the VoIP did. However, I don’t believe that pressing the doorbell button ever automatically loaded the live stream unless you used a third party app like Tasker or macrodroid to watch notifications and automatically click them. Or there was a sort of workaround with Google or Alexa to have them automatically stream the doorbell if somebody pressed the button.
Thank you so much for your answer. I will look into that. Thanks again!!
Thanks so much! I just couldn’t remember if it ever did it or not. Thank you so much!
