My bad. This was the same image issue as when the OG cams were first released, so I didn’t think of doing the usual troubleshooting steps. This is my son’s cam, so I had to wait for him to get home from work to power-cycle it, but that did fix the image. (Personally, I feel that it is still a bug that the camera stops working on its own and requires power-cycling, but I am not wasting my time telling that to Wyze.)
I am having similar problems with an outdoor use. The OG view is darker and the colors are muddy. The OGT colors are bright and washed out; like an overexposure.
Looks like this is still an issue. My OG camera is only 1 month old and the view is suddenly washed out. Restarting the camera fixes it but then it happens again the next day.
In 2025 I would say my OG is dimmer than my V3 and V4. Well, I feel V4 oversaturates colors. I don’t think saturation should affect brightness and contrast. So reading this thread it seems that the reason I’m noticing in the thumbnail is a difference is possibly because of the complaints of it being over blown? I will say that it’s a bit muddy looking compared to the other two. It looks More like morning or Twilight on a cloudy day compared to the other two.
I haven’t noticed any differences. Guess I need to place each side by side.
Something else is going on there, almost like the camera is partially going into night mode but not switching to black and white. Mine are outside in full sunlight and are nothing like that.
I wonder if something there is reflecting off the lens and confusing it. Is that cam looking through a window or something? On the side of the couch it looks like there is some sort of reflection of something, maybe over on the right side near the picture on the wall too. Something looks to be shining into the lens or causing a reflection.
During the day they both look good to me (OG and v4), there are some differences. At night I found the OG oversaturates colors and the v4 actually is the opposite, they are very muted. I posted a thread comparing the two in the same spot if people want to compare. Night time is first then further down the thread are the daytime pics.
