Same here. It seems that I have to have motion notifications enabled for the doorbell press notification to work, but even with motion notifications enabled, the doorbell press notification still doesn’t happen about 50% of the time.
I’ve also noticed that if the Wyze app doesn’t give me the doorbell press notification, then Alexa and IFTTT also don’t get an event.
Yep, hopefully the can figure out what is causing the random notification behavior. Luckily it is just a door bell button. Imagine if they sold fire/smoke detectors that did this… how could you trust it? Sometimes it notifies, sometimes it doesn’t… kind of scary.
Same problem with doorbell V2 and iPhone running iOS 17.5.1. Just updated to Firmware 4.51.2.0379
I have two of these, one notifies, and the other doesn’t. Might be a coincidence, but I turned on glass break and gunshot notifications, and the one that wasn’t notifying started working. Not sure if it is working consistently yet. Time will tell.
I contacted support and they suggested deleting and adding the device back, but I haven’t done that since it sounds like an exercise in futility and it is a pain in the neck to set everything up again.
Having the same issue. I was counting on the IFTTT app to detect when the Doorbell was pressed but the activity is completely empty even when I pressed it a few times
