Non-Existent White "Blobs" Trigger Person Alert

V3 Cam, Near Field IR On. Totally dark garage. Two white blobs appeared last night and, amazingly, triggered a person detection. Nothing there. Blobs move slowly back and forth about a foot. Unplugged and plugged cam but made no difference. Need to maintain person detection in garage but, obviously, can’t have notifications coming in every few minutes whenever it is dark. Would appreciate a work around and thanks!

Tell the spider to move someplace else.

Here are a couple of things to try. I use Wyze Cam v3 cameras and with IR Night Vision turned On in my garage will also pick up blobs flying around.

  1. You could try using a small LED night light in your garage (for low level illumination) and see if your results are acceptable with IR Night Vision Off. The flying bug in the above video may not have been recorded if I had IR Night Vision Off.

  2. You could also try moving your v3 around your garage. Moving the v3 might have whatever is in view being falsely Tagged as Person out of view or aimed at a different angle.. V3 cameras have a magnetic base. The v3 in the above video is attached to my metal circuit breaker door, so that might give you some mounting options. Good luck.

There were Two blobs.Do you suppose one was Wilbur the pig ?:joy::victory_hand:t2:

I get that often on one of my Outdoor V3 cams, it’s always one web strand waving in front of the cam, sometimes 2, 3 or four white blobs that goes on in a series of 5 minute videos for an hour or two.
