"No video available at this time"

I’ve been getting the “No video available at this time” error message. Battery is charged, SD card is new, This has happened with another camera I have at our summer home. I’m starting to get the feeling that Wyze isn’t the way to go.

Open to all suggestions.

Is it soon after you get a notification? It takes around 30-60 seconds before you can view the SD video after an event occurs.

Other than that I’d check the SD card in a PC and make sure it is actually the capacity it says it is, and formatted correctly.

Hi Dave27 - NO, it’s up to a day after. It’s gone off line because the battery was low, but this is frustrating. I have another camera and it will do the same thing from time to time. I don’t get it, it shouldn’t be this inconvenient to get video. It’s a hassle to get the ladder to get the SD card out. Besides, it’s in a sealed compartment inside the camera.

I appreciate your response. I’ll keep trying different things.

What brand SD cards are they and were they bought from a reputable source (like sold and shipped by amazon and not a 3rd party)? Counterfeit SD cards are extremely common these days. If the card doesn’t have a utility to authenticate it (like Samsung has) then I always run a full overwrite format with SD Formatter to make sure it is the capacity it says it is, even if I buy it from a reputable source.

I’m guessing you’ve already tried using the camera’s format feature, but unfortunately that won’t tell you if the card is fake (or has bad blocks) etc.

You also mention it shutting off because the battery is low, keep in mind that could potentially corrupt the SD card and require a format.
