I was having the same issue. If you are an Android user, go to the Google Play store and search for Wyze or click this link (assuming you’re on your phone):
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the app page and there is a section that says “Become A Beta Tester”. Once you do that, after about a minute you should be able to upgrade to version 1.3.107. Just refresh the app page in Google Play and you should see an upgrade button.
I can confirm I now have working notifications, and they appear to be retroactive (meaning the notifications I was never seeing now appear in the app for day’s past).
Thank you for that tip. I did discover something related to it. If you have already installed the Android Wyzecam app that Beta sign-up link won’t be visible when you return to that page. I had to uninstall it first before I saw it.
I’m installing Beta now and hopefully I’ll start getting alerts.
Darn! Even with the Beta version I’m still not getting notifications. Made sure my battery optimizer is off for this app, that I have it set to “Push Alerts”, and even tried logging off the app, turning off my phone, unplugging the camera and then turning everything back on and opening the app - still no alerts. Also made sure my cell phone is set to sent me alerts. It’s recording, just not letting me know when something triggers it.
I also have a Pixel XL, & haven’t had any push notifications in long while. I have 2 Wyze cameras, one version 1 & the other version 2. When I tried with my iPad the notifications seem to work flawlessly…
I had same issue with the Beta version, until I started playing around with the alert controls. I enabled sound alerts, motion, then I started getting notifications . I disabled sound alerts all seems well now.
So I did the beta & notifications are working perfect, woo hoo!! Im also digging being able to select the detection zone for notifications as well! Also enjoying the layout change as well. Great job guys!
