Hi all. I upgraded to a Duo doorbell cam because my Pro, while generally good, routinely failed to record some events and I wanted the always-recording microsd option. The Duo worked great after an easy setup but when I got up the next morning there were no events recorded between 9:33 p.m. and 3:33 a.m. I replayed with the SD card and there were people walking by - I live downtown, not an hour goes by without somebody walking past my house. Checked the settings yesterday, nothing untoward, and crossed my fingers but this time no events between 9:17 p.m. and 6:14 a.m. Events it missed included a car pulling up, my newspaper carrier stepping onto the sidewalk and throwing a newspaper onto my top step. I had similar problems with my first Wyze doorbell cam, when it would just stop recording events, and after wasting a lot of time with support I sent it back and the replacement they sent worked better. Any suggestions welcome. The automations I had for notifications were disabled but I deleted them just in case, to no effect. For event recordings I have smart detection events on so I don’t get every car going by. For events to record I have people, pets, packages, etc. Any help welcome, I was really hoping this would just work without any hassle. Not sure if it matters but I have Cam Plus for the doorbell and two other cams that have never given me trouble.
What are your settings? Do you have Motion toggled on under event recording? If you are seeing events on the sdcard but not receiving notifications, there may be a disruption in the cloud service. I have 2 duos on event recording and notifications and they perform very well for me.
Thanks! I have tried motion on and motion off, but experienced the same multi-hour gap in an event being noted. Last night I deleted the camera in the app and reset the camera and reinstalled and added back my settings. So far no multi-hour gaps although I was suprised this morning to get a package alert and the package is there but the camera didn’t highlight the guy arriving and putting it on the stoop
(But I saw him leaving the package using the SD card scrollback)
