I have had this setup for three months. They are under the eves so out of the rain and snow. Trouble free so far. I drilled two holes through the base to fasten them with screws. Much clearer view than through the window. I just had to drill a 5/8 hole through the door jamb, stick the wire through and then seal the hole with duct seal .
