Contact positions- I would like to be able to have 1 contact sensor and multiple magnets so I can actually tell the position of a sensor and not just open.
The contact sensor electronics are single pole on/off reed switches. Multiple magnets would allow the switch to register “closed” at multiple positions, but there would be no way to differentiate between those positions in the app. The ability to do so would require a complete redesign of the hardware.
My suggestion would be just to use a separate contact sensor for each position desired. Given the price point these sell at, it shouldn’t be too much of a financial burden.
