These cameras have the worst audio
Enabling the mic doesn’t work for me. My neighbor’s dogs bark all night and I tried to record from the SD card and from live view, can’t hear the dogs because of the loud buzzing noise. Happening on both my floodlight pro v3’s and my battery cam pros. This is new for me as I didn’t have this problem until a few days ago. Happens on my iPhone and iPad and even if I airplay to my Samsung TV. A video I downloaded from one of the FL Pros a few days ago sounded perfect when I played it back from the photos app but today that same video’s audio is just loud buzzing. Honestly I’m sick of Wyze, one problem after another and I’m not spending one more second troubleshooting their issues.
If the same video played fine on your phone’s photos app yesterday and not today (i.e. you didn’t re-download the video, you’re watching the same one), that’s not the video or anything to do with Wyze, that’s your phone. Try restarting your phone?
Are you hearing the buzzing in live view on the cams?
At 6am this morning I downloaded a video and it sounds perfect. At 6:32am I downloaded another video and there’s loud static. Every video downloaded from the Wyze app now has that loud static. Yes I restarted my phone. I checked that EQ is off and I made no changes to sound settings. No static while watching live view. Music, YouTube, recordings, videos I took with my iPhone camera all sound fine, it’s only happening in the Wyze app.
I just did some more troubleshooting and that loud buzzing only happens if I record from live view or the SD card. If I download a captured event it sounds fine. Formatting the SD card didn’t help. Nothing wrong with the mic or speaker on my phone as like I mentioned all other recordings sound fine. There’s no buzzing noise in any videos I’ve taken with the camera on my iPhone. The buzzing only happens if I record from live view or the SD card using the record function in the Wyze app. So it seems that as of today something is wrong with the record function in the Wyze app.
OK from before it sounded like watching the same video on your phone two different times had static one time. Have you tried rebooting your router and cams?
Yes rebooted modem and router and restarted cams.
Only other thing I can suggest is try a different phone/device to rule that out.

Just so you know, V3’s always had an issue with sound, it’s nothing new.
True that they’ve always had an issue w sound, however I’d ordered a 3-pk (after I already had several V3’s) that was extremely noisy & over heated. Sounds like gremlins in the camera! So they sent me replacements & told me to keep the others. I put them up in areas where I don’t need the audio, just the video.
All my V3’s have noise in them, which is annoying, but I’ve just learned to live w it, even the replacements have some noise. However, the noise in the 3 was just unacceptable.
I’ve attached an audio of 1 of them that they’d replaced. Note that this is located in a basement & completely silent in the room.
