We’ve all seen the forum posts and questions concerning log files that are enormous. Not much has happened (that I can find!) to address that issue, so here are some suggestions:

Logging should be user configurable in terms of:
set on/off entirely and/or at the individual device level, by the user. -
Log file location (phone versus SD card) should be set by the user.
In fact, other than in the iPhone world where you have to jailbreak to have any say at all in file locations etc., the user should be able to set the location of the app and all associated files… and the locations should be retained across app updates.
