Local record not operating

When selling a product it should work as advertised. I have had issues with a couple functions.
Local recording: not working in motion. When setting local record to micro sd the settings change without me changing them.
Several times I must go in and check settings but find them not to what I set them as.
The end user should not have to spend days trying to reflash etc.
I have deleted app reinstalled app and cam pan but still no record on sd card.
