Lamp socket triggers motion detection when it turns off the bulb

I have motion detection enabled but when the socket powers down the bulb after a few minutes being on, it triggers the motion detection and turns back on the bulb. My event log if filled with recordings every 3 minutes. This seems like a bug to me… Perhaps the motion detection could be suppressed when the bulb is being turn off.
