Inexpensive Camera Mount

I wanted a ground level temporary mount for my V3 and found an old box of timber spikes with a nice large head on them. Pushed into the ground and the cam magnet holds it firmly on its top!

More temporary mounts - garden tools. I’m using a hoe to monitor our flying squirrels on a tree and a rake on the feeder:

Definitely this is a simple method.

Another simple camera holder would be to use an Elevator Bolt. They have large and flat heads which increases their magnetic grip.

Here is a picture of one:

This bolt can be coupled to make it longer, also a fender washer can be added lower down its length to provide greater lean over resistance.

Cost-wise they can be had for prices similar to large spikes.
