I was trying to update the firmware on a v3 camera.
I formatted a 32 gb micro SD card with fat32 and put the firmware file on it.
I put the card in the camera, powered up while holding the button down until the light turned purple. After a while, it went out and it changed to a red blinking light that never stopped.
After an hour, I removed the SD card , unplugged it and powered it back up. on down. Or not holding the button
Naw. I’ve done that plenty of times. Just load a different firmware file and try again. There was one time with a V3Pro I had a failed firmware flash dozens of times in a row before it finally took. That’s a rare exception though. My point is that sometimes the flash fails. Don’t sweat it. Just redo it.
Make sure the .bin file is on the root of the SD card. Some instructions on their website have said to put it in a folder, but put it on the root.
I got it going! Thanks again. I had given up on it.
It has the newest firmware, but I can’t get RTSP set up. It keeps telling me it lost connection to the camera. That’s okay, though. I don’t really need it on this camera
