No, the app should prompt you when an update is necessary (if it doesn’t automatically update), and you can check your device’s version a couple of ways:

  1. From the Cam OG’s main Live Stream screen, select  Settings ➜ Device Info ➜ Firmware Version.
  2. From the app’s  Home screen, select  Account ➜ Firmware Update.

Either of those screens should indicate if your firmware version is current and may allow you to apply an update if one is available. Unplugging the Cam usually is necessary only if you need to power-cycle the device for some reason.
