How to Read the Roadmap

Hi, everyone!

We want to give you visibility into what we’re working on and give you a place to provide feedback during the development process. To aid in this, we created our Roadmap category. Here’s how it works:

Moving From the Wishlist

The Wishlist is for requests that are either not in the pipeline at this point or requests that we’re researching before trying to implement. Once a request hits the in-development stage, we’ll relocate it from the Wishlist into the Roadmap.

Voting

Votes don’t really do much here since everything in this category is already in process. But we want to keep the votes archived for posterity so we’re leaving them available here.

Check the Status

We plan to update the status with locked tags so that you know where your request is in the pipeline. The tags we’ll be using are:

  • launched - Has already been sent out to the public.
  • pre-order - Has been made available for purchase by early Wyze backers before official launch.
  • testing - Is a feature or product in beta testing.
  • in-development - Means that we’re actively working on it but we’re not ready for external testing.

Additionally, we’re now adding tags for product, app, or integration to make it easier for our team members to see requests directly related to their work.

Commenting

We love to hear use cases and comments are welcome. We pay attention to the discussions and sometimes ask for feedback about ideas we’re having.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Best,

WyzeGwendolyn

A post was split to a new topic: Please sell T-shirts

The release notes link in the header of this topic does now work.

I feel like threads with the “Launched” tag should be hid by default on the #roadmap. I know theres a filter but if I’m scrolling through looking at upcoming products/features I don’t care about stuff that has already been released, especially if it’s from years ago.

Is there a way to just review the comments from Wyze staff in the Roadmap forum? I would like to be able to read just the Wyze team updates as one view of the Roadmap forum.

Thanks for the question! Significant updates are usually added or edited in to the OP in the thread. Here is the RTSP roadmap with it’s updates.

If you want to filter comments by the Wyze team or any commenter, you can click on the users name at their reply in the thread then click on the “# posts in the topic” to see a filtered list of their comments from the thread.

This also works if you click the user avatar icon at the end of the original post where all the icon bubbles are at. That’s a good way to see who the frequent posters are.

I don’t think there is a way to filter Roadmap topics for all Wyze staff, but you can use the advanced search for a single user (WyzeGwendolyn) on all Roadmap topics. Let me know if you need help running the advanced search.

Thanks. This helps. It would be helpful if we could see also recent updates by Wyze staff to see what’s new. I tried selecting multiple Wyze names for a search but could only get one at a time.

Yes, I’d like to do the same, but it’s a current forum software limitation. I checked user preference settings also. You can select watch, track, notify for all posts in a category, but that’s probably too much unwanted stuff for Roadmap. Since only Wyze can create a new topic in this Roadmap category, I would suggest going into your user profile settings > Notifications/Categories > Watching First Post > select Roadmap > Save Changes. This will notify you of all new topics created in the Roadmap category.
