When the camera changes to night mode and turns on the LEDs, it triggers a notification because the scene changes. Is there a setting somewhere to prevent this?

No, other than trying to lower the sensitivity setting (which I doubt would work), there isn’t.
I would like to suggest a setting in a future update that “pauses” notifications for a few seconds after the camera transitions from day mode to night mode and vice versa.

It would also save the company some unnecessary cloud storage for those events.
