Does the Wyze Battery Cam Pro have a setting to Disable Automatic Firmware updates?
I see the setting here for a WCO v1, and a V4 camera, but not on the four Battery Cam Pros:

Considering how recent firmware releases have been problematic, I would expect to have a system-wide setting to stop all auto firmware updates.
I didn’t notice until now that BCP has no way to stop a firmware update.
Yes, I’d like to see an option in the app to disable ALL auto firmware updates on all devices, one checkbox to rule them all.
Last thing I want to deal with is seeing my four Battery Cam Pro’s get a firmware update that forces them to have a One Minute Cooldown Period like when the WCO v1 and v2’s were infected with by Wyze, and are now worthless to me (all nine of them)
I’m guessing Wyze won’t do a global checkbox, so hopefully they’ll add the setting to the Battery Cam Pro, SOON.
Hello @WyzeLi
Is it by design that the Wyze Battery Cam Pro does not have the ability to disable Automatic Firmware updates?
The Wyze Cam Outdoor v1/v2 have this feature available.
I would think All Wyze Products would allow the user to turn this feature off or on ?
Hi @CatHome ,
You should be able to turn off the auto updates on BCP in the Device Info > Firmware Version > Automatic Update. (Pls see image) But my device might be on an upcoming firmware version, so please hang tight if you haven’t seen it on your device info.
That would explain why you see it on your firmware (1.4.3.4043), and I don’t on 1.4.2.3615.
My Assumption is my Battery Cam Pro on 1.4.2.3615 will Auto Update on it’s own (since it has no means to disable that feature), and once the firmware is auto updated to 1.4.3.4043 or something great, i’ll have the ability to disable Auto Updating
