How do you turn Automations off?

Now that the notifications for most of my cameras are working correctly I’ve realized an annoying issue. When I go outside to do some yardwork I start getting constant notifications as the cameras detect me every few seconds (whatever the time lapse between notifications is per camera). So I ended up creating a new automation called “I’m Outside” which turns off notifications to all my outside cameras. When I got done and was in the house I thought all I needed to do was hit the button for the automation and it would turn off and each camera would go into it’s normal routine for that time. Unfortunately that is not true. I then did a web search to see how to turn of Automations and it came up with “click off the enable button for that automation”. I looked (even followed the directions the web search AI gave me and there is on Enable/Disable button for any of the automations. There is a “Play” button that triggers the automation but there is no stop button (hitting the Play button again only re-triggers the automation.
Is there a way to set an automation so that when you trigger it a second time that it reverts all the settings that were changed by the automation to back to normal?
Is the only way to do this is to set a second automation to turn notifications back on (which also overrides any other current schedules set for each camera)?
Adding more automations to change the previous automations seems a bit of an overkill and not very precise when I want it to just turn off the automation and set the camera to whatever schedule might be running at the time.

You either need to set a time period for the automation (snooze for 1 hour etc) or a second automation to turn them back on. Some of the pre-made/built in automations are already set up like this (snooze notifications, and I’m home/I’m away) and you can modify them as needed, or just create a second one of your own or update yours to be for 1 hour or whatever.

You can also do:

  1. Go to the automation and disable the ones you want to silence. Then enable when you want to activate again.

Or

  1. If you want to silence notifications, on the home page, tap the bell at the top right. This will give you a few options to silence notifications. Then, when you are done, you can tap it again to allow notifications.

That’s because you’re apparently using Shortcut Automations (though it would be helpful if you specified which type of Automation you’re trying to use). The other Automation types—Schedule, Device & Service Trigger, and Location Trigger—actually do have an Enable toggle if you tap into a given Automation of that type, and they do not have the button because they’re not really designed to be run on demand.

I like the suggestions @dave27 and @spamoni provided. If you want to temporarily disable notifications for a select camera or group for a specified time, then I think creating a single snooze Shortcut makes the most sense. If you want to temporarily disable notifications for all Wyze devices for a period of time, then the on the  Home screen is probably easiest.
