Anyone have a procedure or trick for deleting - flushing the no longer used bridges showing after removing the bridges from the rear of a V2 cam?
Bridges still show though they have been removed from the camera. Attempt to add a sensor, on the select bridge or hub page, a list will show no longer used bridges as though they are still in the V2.
(No delete cache in app feature on iOS like there is on Android)
Have you tried deleting cam and readding? If not and you don’t want to attempt it, let me know and I’ll try this weekend on one of my bridge v2 cams.
Hi. Ya know? I didn’t try that. Until now. That DID IT ! Some of these had been on there a while. I use V1 sensors, and don’t have to do much maintenance on them. So, its been a while. I had several bridges and consolidated all into one used HMS Sense Hub, and could not get rid of the unused bridges. Search last night gave me nuthin’
And then, I said to myself, Self, why didn’t you think of that yo-self? I am going to sit myself down and give myself a good written counseling for this shortcoming. Delete the Cam and add it “rat” back. Yep, that did it.
No problem! I’m still running a hideous amount of v1 sensors as I love the small footprint and v1 Motion’s 360 degree PIR. Some are connected to 2 v2 bridge cams, some are connected to Sense Hub. I’d move them all to the Hub, but keep them bridged for troubleshooting other users’ issues. The range between v1 sensors and Hub seems considerably greater than v1 sensors-to-bridge.
I agree with all. Yes, I find the distance from V1 motion to Hub vice bridge to be at least twice the distance.
I too love those little V1 sensors. I am helping a friend get setup. They had a V1 Sense Starter kit. (So old) all the batteries were dead and it impacted the contact and motion sensors. I wanted to help, so I pulled out two of those same starter kits from my stash. Never been opened. Two motion sensors could be added with new batteries. But 4 contact sensors are dead. Sadly.
I want extras of the V1s. So, I recently found on ebay and bought 12 V1 motion sensors. Lucky find and only $6 each.
I have boxes of spares too. I also have a bunch of dead v1 contact sensors. 6 contact sensors died years ago when I failed to replace the batteries before the brick threshold. I pulled the battery on all and left them for years. I don’t know how/why, but 2 of them fired right back up with a new battery a few months ago. I haven’t tried this user’s method yet, but will attempt it on a few bricked contact sensors this weekend and report back:
Update: Commented in other topic. Didn’t work on Contact Sensor v1. No big deal, I have working spares.
