People do some dumb stuff sometimes. About 1994-ish (my daughter was a baby at that time), i had my full garage can stolen before pickup time. We mainly had disposable diapers and food waste in the can is how i remember the approximate year.
I shred all credit card offers but there may have been some packing labels in there. I reported the theft to the police non-emergency line just in case my garabe got thrown on someone’s street.
Back then we had to supply our own can. Mine was an old Rubbermaid so i needed to get a new can anyway.
It appeared that my can was the only one stolen on my street. I wish there were Wyze cameras back then.
The police taking my report got a chuckle over my explaination about not caring about the can just not wanting to possibly be charged with littering.
Probably a visiting New York driver.

No, I did not. Don’t see a point of doing that as I am sure someone must’ve seen it when it happened.
