I myself was ‘drowning’ a bad head cold (I can drink a lot of water fast) in lieu of decongestants and it did make me feel better - MUCH better - so I took note and backed off a bit.

I consumed gallons of Tiger Beer in my Navy Man days. Mostly in Singapore and Hong Kong.

I read (I didn’t) that Tiger Beer was especially high in fluoride (like the American water supply (YMMV).)

Glad you are feeling better. This stuff helped my cough a couple of weeks ago when I had Type A Flu.

Thanks I have a full supply of meds. It might take me a little longer because I started with a disadvantage, I already have COPD caused by Asbestosis.
The Possum Nurse said she would bring me some special meds tonight. She was checking out her supplies by the trash can last night.

Good to know that you’re feeling better. Unfortunately, that post-viral cough can linger for quite a while, even after non-COVID-19 infections.

I don’t know if you’re a tea drinker, but one of my favorites when ill (especially if dealing with excessive mucus or a sore throat) is Tea Source Iron Silk Puer. I used to buy that locally when I lived in Minneapolis.
