Floodlight V1 not supplying power

I got my floodlight v1 last night and have been struggling to get it setup today. when I try to boot the floodlight with the camera plugged into it (the included v3) it doesn’t power the camera. The camera works fine not plugged into my floodlight, but when I try to use it with the floodlight it doesn’t supply any power to either usb port.

has anyone seen something like this / knows how to help?

edit: to clarify the floodlight is receiving power as the lights on it do turn on for a second; and it works with motion detection at night.

Did the camera come with the floodlight? Or did you wire it yourself?

What does “camera works fine not plugged into my floodlight” mean - you disconnect the camera?

yes when i disconnected the camera it worked, but it does not work when connected to floodlight

But did it ever work? Before you disconnected the camera, was it online at some point?

Not difficult, but a visual aid for separating the cam from the floodlight (for anyone following along.) Lifehackster had a faulty camera. :slight_smile:

As I read it, my interpretation is that @Falling can’t get a working (powered) camera—which came with the Floodlight—from the Floodlight, but this same camera works when separated from the Floodlight and connected to a different power source. If that’s the case, then my inclination would be to open a Support ticket for a possible return/replacement.
