Mine is doing the exact same thing I’m using iOS camera works fine have no floodlight control have restarted and nothing works
Mine is also doing the same thing. Tried deleting the camera and reinstalling it, unplugging the cord as others have suggested, restarting the camera, cutting the power to the camera for awhile. I can see that the firmware listed for the camera that won’t show the floodlight is different than my camera that still works correctly.
Could it be a firmware issue? I’m not that tech savvy but while the cameras update on the floodlight. The actual floodlight firmwares last update was in 2021? That’s what it said on their site I checked a few days ago
This week I downgraded the firmware going back two versions. In all cases it didn’t work.
Strangely my android device it shows the floodlight icon on all firmware version , but when you try to change the settings on the flood you get the not installed message.
The iOS app doesn’t show the floodlight icon and gets the message.
Forgot to mention.
So think it may be the app blocking the flood light being recognized
I definitely think it is a firmware issue. The firmware listed for the floodlight that isn’t working is different than my other floodlight that is still working. Just spent over an hour in customer support chat and in the end they told me the next firmware and app updates will fix it.
I’ve had this issue since mid 2023. It hasn’t even been installed for a year and this issue has not been fixed
Here’s an update. I removed the floodlight and replaced it with the new floodlight v2.
I gave up, couldnt get it working after trying everything. Its less then a year old. Going to check if i can get a replacement.
I now have this very issue after the outage on 2-16-24. Support says they are “working on a fix”. But I’m assuming this is still a thing after all this time.
I think that’s what they want, for customers to buy their newest products. Otherwise they would help resolve the issue at hand. I have 3 original floodlights and only 1 works properly.
if anyone is still having this issue I recommend a factory reset, power cycle, and pull the plug out of the v3 from the back. takes a bit of force. I left the wire out with the power still on for about an hour or 2, plug it in and you’ll hear a click, Thats what worked for me, hope this helps
